Home About

The company

One type, flown properly, from a very small country.

We are not trying to be a fleet operator. We fly the Piaggio Avanti, we fly it out of the Adriatic, and we know it better than a mixed-fleet operator ever will.

Why one type

Specialists make fewer mistakes.

A single-type operation means every pilot on the roster is current on every aircraft, every engineer has seen the fault before, and the spares in the store fit whatever is on the ramp. It removes the most common cause of delay in small charter operations, which is not weather — it is the aircraft the crew is not current on.

It also means we can be direct with you. If the Avanti is the wrong aeroplane for your trip — ten passengers, a transatlantic sector, a runway at 9,000 feet on a hot afternoon — we will say so and point you somewhere better. We would rather lose the booking than sell you the wrong flight.

Our base

San Marino, and the runway next door.

The Republic of San Marino has no airport of its own. It has something more useful: a serious aircraft registry, a functioning civil aviation authority, and Rimini–Federico Fellini twenty-two kilometres down the hill.

That combination is why we are here. The company, the certificate and the aircraft are San Marinese. The ramp, the hangar and the crews are on the Adriatic coast, an hour and a half from Milan by air and forty minutes from Rome.

The three towers

Guaita, Cesta, Montale. Three towers along one ridge, holding a republic that has kept itself independent since the fourth century. We fly the only business aircraft in the world built on three wings. It seemed like the right country for it.

Safety & compliance

Ask us for the paperwork. We will send all of it.

The single most useful thing a charter customer can do is verify the operator. Request the air operator certificate, the insurance certificate and the most recent audit report from anyone quoting you — including us.

Certificate

Air Operator Certificate

Issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of San Marino for commercial air transport. The CAA certifies and oversees operators against international requirements, and the certificate is provided with every quotation on request.

SMS

Safety management system

Built to IS-BAO, with a nominated safety manager independent of commercial pressure, a hazard register reviewed monthly, and confidential crew reporting that reaches the accountable manager without passing through the roster office.

Crew

Two pilots, always

The Avanti is certified for single-pilot operation. We do not use that certification commercially. Every revenue sector is flown by two type-rated pilots, with recurrent simulator training twice a year and line checks against a published standard.

Technical

Maintenance and airworthiness

Continuing airworthiness managed in-house against the manufacturer’s programme, with all scheduled and unscheduled work performed by EASA Part-145 approved organisations and recorded before release to service.

Dispatch

Flight planning and flight watch

Every departure is planned by a licensed dispatcher: performance, fuel, weather, NOTAMs, alternates and airport limitations. The operations desk watches the flight from block to block and rebuilds the plan if the day changes.

Insurance

Liability cover

Third-party and passenger liability at market-standard limits for the type and mission, placed with rated aviation underwriters. Certificates of insurance are issued on request, before booking.

Who you will deal with

Four people, one phone number.

A small operation has one real advantage: the person who answers the phone can also make the decision. These are the post holders required by the certificate.
